Canadian online poker for US palyers

For online poker fans in the US, it can be really tricky to find a poker room in which you are allowed to play. For those of you who don’t know, this is because of regulatory concerns – playing online poker in the United States is still not 100% legal, so to cover their backs (so to speak) a lot of online poker rooms refuse access to U.S player’s altogether. Whilst U.S poker fans have a few staple sites like Titan Poker, Bodog Poker, Lock Poker, Cake Poker and InterTops Poker to name just a few, they still have far less choice of online poker venues than any of their poker-loving cousins from elsewhere in the world. Could all of this be set to change?

Republican Joe Barton has proposed a bill to legalise online poker. A fan of poker himself since the tender age of 12, Barton proposes that through a series of state-run agencies, online poker in the U.S should be regulated. This is not just good news for U.S online poker fans – it’s fantastic news for everyone! A bill that would legalise online gambling would mean an influx of brand spanking new online poker rooms for fans worldwide to enjoy!

It is understandable that U.S online poker fans are sceptical, but Barton remains optimistic. The poker community are raising awareness of this issue very close to their hearts through social networking mediums like Facebook and Twitter, and you never know – their voices could be heard by members of Congress who are sitting on the fence! So online poker fans everywhere – unite and you could soon be enjoying the new perks, bonuses, jackpots, tourneys and games of a whole new bunch of U.S based online poker sites!
